The Design Collective: Christmas

Volume 2

Description

Twelve of the world’s most talented needlework artisans each design a project to celebrate Christmas with stitch. Each designer was given the same brief. There were no rules. No guidelines. The only criteria: a connection to Christmas.

The book features the following projects:

  • A Christmas Rose by Betsy Morgan. Ornament with a stumpwork hellebore and gold star worked over a background of counted thread embroidery
  • A Sprig of Holly by Susan O'Connor. Elegant brooch with holly berries and leaves worked with silk threads
  • Pat's Bonbon by Hazel Blomkamp. A bonbon to use every year, adorned with sparkling poinsettias, flowers and leaves in three-dimensional beading
